Assertiveness skills Bangkok

In Thailand, speaking out, sharing an opinion or saying no are actions frequently avoided by Thais. In fact, conflict avoidance and preventing loss of face are considered extremely important in both personal and professional relationships.

Thais are not alone when it comes to being developing assertiveness skills. Many of us do not say “No” when we should, we can feel intimated or put down by others, or lack the self esteem to follow our own dreams.

This course is for anyone who wishes to develop their assertiveness skills by learning some very simple communications strategies.  Participants will learn how to boost their confidence and express themselves assertively. Handling other people, whether they are aggressive or passive, is something we all need to do no matter what we do in our jobs and doing it well consistently requires a skill.

Assertive team members are extremely important to companies because they can express themselves freely, get things done, don’t take no for an answer (which is useful when dealing with clients) while at the same time appear polite, professional and fair.

  • Distinguish between assertive, aggressive and passive behaviour

  • Express yourself assertively using specific verbal and non-verbal techniques and get maximum results

  • Request what you want assertively and get it

  • Criticise and change behaviour while staying friends

  • Use a simple technique to reinforce the behaviour of others

  • Disagree with the other person in such a way that helps them understand your stance on the matter without taking it personally

  • Say No and be loved for it!

The Assertiveness Skills workshop is available in Bangkok, Thailand and in other ASEAN countries within the region. For more information on this program or how it will help you and your team to achieve better results. Contact us today!
